These general terms and conditions of sale govern the relations between the Pâtisserie E. Ladurée, société par actions simplifiée (simplified joint-stock company) registered with the Lille Metropole Trade and Companies Register under number 572 045 540 having its registered office located at 344 de la Marne in Marcq en Baroeul (59700), hereinafter referred to as the “the vendor”, and any non-trading, natural person over the age of 18, hereinafter referred to as “the client", for the sale of products offered on the website “”.

These conditions apply exclusively to non-trading, natural persons, possessing the legal capacity to conclude a supply contract. Full and total acceptance of these general terms and conditions of sale is necessary and essential in order to place an order. As a result, the client will not be able to enforce any clause whatsoever, as placing an order shall act as express acceptance of this clause.

Considering the possible changes to this website, the vendor reserves the right to adapt or amend, at any time, these general terms and conditions of sale. New general terms and conditions of sale shall be published on the website and will be applicable to any order placed subsequent to their being posted online on the website.


The products and services offered are those shown in the catalogue published on the website: “www.beauté”. These products and services are offered within the limits of available stocks. The vendor may make changes to the range of products offered for sale on its website at any time.

The photographs illustrating the products in the catalogue are as accurate as possible but do not guarantee to be a perfect reproduction of the products offered, particularly in terms of colours.


Any order constitutes the acceptance of these general terms and conditions of sale

The client is able to see the different stages of the order details and the total price and may correct any errors before confirming his/her order, thereby expressing his/her acceptance.

Payment for the price of the products makes the order definite and no amendment of the order may be taken into consideration by the vendor.

Conclusion of the contract is only effective after confirmation of the order by the vendor. The vendor confirms the order and payment of same by sending an email to the email address provided by the client.

The vendor reserves the right to cancel or refuse any order from a client with whom there is a dispute concerning payment of a previous order or who, in the vendor’s opinion, presents any form of risk.

Any information given by the client remains his/her sole responsibility and any anomalies generated by him/her may not be borne by the vendor in the event that it becomes impossible to carry out the order and achieve a successful outcome.


The prices of products marketed on the “” site are expressed in Euros, including tax, excluding post and packaging. The current rate of French VAT on the day of the order is taken into account. Any change in the rate of VAT will be reflected immediately on the prices. The products will be invoiced based on current prices at the time the order is registered.

Prices shown on the website may be revised at any time without notice.

These prices exclude shipping costs, which shall be invoiced in addition to the prices of products purchased. Shipping costs will be stipulated before the Customer is asked to confirm the Order.

Shipping charges include preparation and packing costs, to which is added postage and delivery costs for the order.


Online payment is made exclusively by bank card. The client accepts that his/her account is debited for the total amount due at the time of the order.

Bank cards accepted for online payment are those used by cardholders within the European Union zone, such as Carte bleue, Visa, Vpay, Electron, MasterCard, Maestro and American Express. Depending on the type of card, the client enters his/her card number, its expiry date and security code (composed of the three figures shown on the back of the bank card), then validates this data, or has the possibility of returning to the previous page.

Payments made online by bank card shall be carried out by way of the secured payment system of LCL bank. The request for payment is made in real time via the secured payment system of LCL bank: the bank ensures that it is a valid bank card (no error registered on entering the code and the card has not been stopped) and confirms registration of payment by delivering a transaction number or advises that the transaction has been refused.

After payment has been validated by the banking organisation, the order is accepted by the vendor who confirms acceptance of the order to the client by email.

The client undertakes to personally use the bank card of which he/she is the holder. In the event of fraudulent use, the vendor cannot be held liable. In the absence of payment by the bank, or a refusal by the banking centres, the order shall be automatically cancelled and the client informed by email.

The Vendor reserves the right to suspend or cancel any order and /or delivery, whatever its nature and level of execution in the event of default in payment or partial payment of any amount which shall be due by the client, in the event any adverse payment circumstances (such as insufficient funds in the bank or a refusal to pay by the banking centres), or in the event of fraud or attempted fraud relating to the use of the website www.beauté, including previous Orders

The products remain the property of the vendor until it receives full payment of the price.


The vendor reserves the right to change the product range. Certain offers may have a restricted period of validity which will be indicated for each product or product range.

The vendor undertakes to honour orders received on the website only within the limits of available stocks. In rare cases, a product that is shown as available on the website may become unavailable after definite registration of the order.

In the event that one or several products ordered become unavailable within the time period indicated, the vendor undertakes to inform the client of this fact as quickly as possible by email.

The order shall be automatically cancelled and reimbursed within 30 days at the latest following settlement of the amount paid, except where the client expressly wishes to switch his/her order to a substitute product advised by the vendor.

No penalty shall be applied for such an order cancellation as the vendor cannot be held liable in any way whatsoever for stock shortages. In the same way, no compensation for cancellation may be requested by the client other than complete reimbursement of the order.


Dispatching the order is carried out subject to payment in full of the order and confirmation of the same.

The client may choose from the following two home delivery methods:

Any order placed on the website before midnight from Monday to Thursday (except on public holidays) will be prepared and dispatched the following day (except on public holidays).
Orders placed between Saturday and Sunday will be processed the following Monday (except on public holidays) and dispatched on Tuesday (except on bank holidays).

In the event of public holidays, delivery of products is postponed as follows:
logoIf the order is placed the day before a public holiday or on a public holiday, the order will be prepared on the day following the public holiday, unless this is a Saturday or Sunday.

The express option guarantees delivery on the day following its preparation from Monday to Saturday (except on public holidays).

Express deliveries are made by the carrier Chronopost. The standard option guarantees delivery within 48 hours (except on public holidays and weekends) following preparation of the order.

Standard deliveries are made by the French postal service, Colissimo.
Delivery deadlines are indicated for information purposes only and the vendor shall do everything possible to meet these deadlines.
However, the vendor cannot be held responsible for any delivery delays due to transport services.
Deliveries are made throughout mainland France and within the European Union.
Delivery deadlines are indicated at the time the order is taken and depend on the country of destination.

Delivery address

The client is responsible for information regarding the name and address of the recipient. This information must be precise, accurate and complete (especially the door code and floor number) in order for delivery to be effected under normal conditions. The vendor cannot be held responsible under any circumstances for a return delivery due to an error in the address or in the impossibility of delivering to the address indicated. Any change in the recipient’s address shall lead to the client being re-invoiced.

In the absence of a recipient, the carrier shall leave a transit advice note at the delivery address.

Receipt of products

In all cases, the products travel at the risk of the client. It is up to the recipient of the parcel, at the time the Product is received, to immediately check the conformity and integrity of the Products dispatched. Generally, any dissatisfaction or observations must be written on the delivery note in a complete and precise manner. In particular, they must clearly specify the damage and include the order number.

In all cases, the products travel at the risk of the client. It is up to the latter to check the contents of the package at the time of delivery and, if necessary, express his/her dissatisfaction in writing on the delivery note.

No claim can be accepted by the vendor without explicit mention by the client of his/her dissatisfaction on the delivery note.

Any faults concerning the products (damage, missing article relating to the order form, non-compliance, parcel damaged or open, faulty products, etc.) must be indicated within 3 days to Customer Service at the latest following receipt of the package.

Delivery rates
Delivery rates depend on the weight of your order, its volume and the required delivery date. Delivery rates are indicated when placing the order.


The vendor shall do everything possible to satisfy its clientele. However, and in accordance with the provisions of article L 121-19 of the (French) Consumer Code, in the event that the customer wishes to complain, he/she may write to Customer Service at the following address: LADUREE – Service Client Beauté - 43 rue de Varenne - 75007 PARIS – France.

In addition to the legal guarantee against hidden defects provided in articles 1641 to 1649 of the (French) Civil Code, whereby the Client has a deadline of two years in which to act with effect from discovery of the fault, the Products sold on the Website are subject to the conditions of the legal requirements contained in articles L. 211-4 et seq. of the (French) Consumer Code. The vendor guarantees the quality of products subject to their being stored at controlled room temperature in a dry place and protected from light.


Pursuant to article L. 121-20 of the Consumer Code, the individual or natural person has the right to withdraw from the purchase within fourteen (14) clear days as from the date of delivery, without providing a reason or incurring any penalties except, where appropriate, the cost of returning the purchase(s). If this period expires on a Saturday, Sunday or a public holiday or non-working day, it shall be extended to the first following working day.

Important: purchasers who intend to exercise their right of withdrawal must return the product in a condition that is appropriate for re-marketing (products in perfect condition in their original packing, accessories, instructions, etc.) and at their own expense to: LADUREE – Service Client Beauté – 43 rue de Varenne – 75007 PARIS – France.

After this time, and if this formality is not respected, the articles shall be deemed to comply and be exempt from any conspicuous defect and no claim may be legitimately accepted by the vendor.


The vendor shall not accept any return of the product from the client except in the case of formal agreement by Customer Service. In the event of agreement for return of the product, it shall be returned in its original state and packaging, with proof of purchase. Any damage to the returned product that is noted and which is due to a problem regarding non-compliant packaging may entail partial or non-reimbursement of the product.

The Vendor shall not accept packages or correspondence sent carriage forward. If the Purchaser is unable to prove that he/she has effectively taken measures to deposit the product with a carrier or shop, any risks linked with the return of the product shall be the responsibility of the Purchaser or the recipient of the Order.


If the conspicuous defect or non-compliance of the article is proved, the vendor undertakes to replace the article or reimburse the client as soon as possible and at its cost. This reimbursement shall be made by bank transfer within a maximum of 30 days from receipt of the request for reimbursement.


Any texts, remarks, structures, illustrations and images reproduced on the website are controlled by copyright as well as by intellectual property throughout the whole world. As such, and in accordance with the provisions of the Intellectual property code, only use for private purposes is allowed, subject to the different, even more restrictive, provisions of the intellectual property code. Any total or partial reproduction of the website “” is strictly prohibited without prior agreement.


The company Pâtisserie E. Ladurée made a declaration to the French Data Protection Authority (CNIL) on 15 March 2012 under n°1572613. The data collected by the Pâtisserie E. Ladurée on the website ““ is intended and necessary for managing orders and business relations.

In accordance with the (French) data protection and civil liberties law of 6 January 1978, the client has the right to access, change, object to and delete all the data concerning him/herself at any time by sending a letter and proving his/her identity to LADUREE – Service Client Beauté - 43 rue de Varenne - 75007 PARIS – France.

This data is dealt with and stored under the strictest security conditions. The client may expressly oppose the disclosure of his/her contact details.

Archiving purchase orders and invoices is made on a reliable and durable backup media in order to provide a true and lasting copy pursuant to article 1348 of the (French) Civil Code.

In addition to compliance with article L. 134-2 of the Consumer code, the vendor ensures the storage, in writing, of the conclusion of the contract by email for a period of 10 years when the contract is for an amount over or equal to 120 Euros.


The products are intended to be sold exclusively through our distribution network. As a result, it is prohibited to buy products for resale purposes outside of our networks, in particular through websites. Over and above an infringement of our brands and the integrity of our products, such acts may engage the legal and criminal liability of their perpetrators, where appropriate.


These general terms and conditions of sale are subject to French law.

Failing an amiable solution, any legal action shall be brought before the competent courts.
